However my husband encouraged me to embark on this journey, and I decided to take the plunge, hoping to inspire children to see the magic in nature and water.
The idea for Aqua’s Adventure stemmed from my fascination with nature and the magical way the water cycle connects everything on Earth. I’ve always been captivated by the stories the natural world holds, and I wanted to create a book that sparks the same curiosity in children. Whether watching a rainstorm or visiting the ocean, kids have a natural wonder for water, and I wanted to turn that fascination into an adventure they could enjoy again and again.

Bringing Aqua’s World to Life: The Magic of Illustrations
Illustrations are the heartbeat of any children’s book, and I knew Aqua’s story needed to be as vibrant and magical as the journey itself. I was fortunate enough to partner with Madison Ross, a talented young artist who had just graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). We were introduced through her mother, my mentor during my tenure at Amazon.
